At Goldenstar Farming, we believe that sustainable agriculture and community empowerment go hand-in-hand. That’s why we were proud to partner in the People in Need project — an inspiring initiative led by Sote Hub that is transforming lives in coastal Kenya.

Supporting 3 Women’s Groups, One Goal: Growth
Through this project, 90 women across three self-help groups received practical support to enhance their agricultural and business ventures. These groups include:
- Badilika Women Self-Help Group – Komaza
- Kilele Women Self-Help Group – Marere
- Dzifahe Women Self-Help Group – Chanagande, Kaloleni
Each group was supplied with high-quality shade nets, provided and set up by our team at Goldenstar Farming, to help improve crop production, increase profitability, and promote climate-smart farming practices.

Training for Sustainability & Self-Reliance
The initiative didn’t just stop at equipment. Women from these groups were taken through hands-on training sessions covering:
- Financial literacy
- Smart agriculture techniques
- Basic business and financial management
- Shade net maintenance and care
This holistic approach ensured that the women not only received the tools to grow their agribusinesses but also the knowledge to manage them successfully.

Why This Matters to Us
As a company rooted in sustainable agriculture, we know that when women thrive, communities flourish. That’s why supporting projects like People in Need aligns perfectly with our core mission — to deliver practical, green solutions that drive real impact.
We’re grateful to Sote Hub for leading this effort and to the women of Komaza, Marere, and Kaloleni for welcoming us into their journey.

The Future is Green
Goldenstar Farming remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote smart farming, climate resilience, and economic empowerment for smallholder farmers, especially women. Together, we are planting seeds of change — one shade net at a time.
